ABOUT VIDYALAYA

 The school building is one of the newest  KVs of civil sector since the time when KVS was founded in the name as Central School Organisation in 1964.  

Now the school is running in new building of department of civil. It is nearly 10 Km straight away from railway station, Sirhind and Bus Stand Sirhind. The Rajpura is 15 KM away on NH-1 towards Ludhiana.  

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     The science stream has been started from April, 2018 with subjects Physics, chemistry, Biology, Maths and Computer Science.   It has two sections in different classes, highest being XII (Science ). It has expanded in respect of the enrolment in the session 2017-18.


  The school is administered by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Autonomous Body under ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

  The KVS is a the National Level Institutions. It has set the pace for whole of the country to give the first organised system of education to lead the country. It had given school education to each and every remote corners of the country. KVS contributed highly to the National integration.

  The aim is to give education to those students of the Central Govt. Employees who are transferred from one corner to the other remote corner of different language area of the country, especially the defence.

   The student should find same scheme of studies, medium of studies, syllabus, uniform, timing and also the same teacher-taught relation all over the country so as to have continuity of their studies when ever the parent is transferred to another Regional language state.

   All KV’s are affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi for all the examinations conducted at National Level to be at par with the other countries. The scheme of studies, syllabus and books are decided by NCERT, New Delhi as per the standard of National Education Policy.
 

 
About Library


The Vidyalaya Library is centrally located. It has seating capacity of 48 users at a time with cushioned chairs. The Vidyalaya Library has a rich collection of 2475 books in the stream of Sciences,  and Humanities too. Additional books such as Knowledge books, Biographies of great leaders, reference books, writing of great authors in Hindi and English are also available in library. Library has an exclusive collection of around 300 books for primary classes. The Library is automated with e_Granthalaya Software.
